Born in the Canyon Between Stars
VancouverCanyon began when a small group of game designers in Vancouver asked themselves a deceptively simple question: why do free social games so often feel like they are pushing you somewhere — toward a purchase, a subscription, an emotional escalation? We decided to build one that does not do that.
We named the project after the natural landscapes that define British Columbia — canyons, coastlines, the feeling of space opening up around you. The cosmic nebula theme felt right: vast, serene, endlessly interesting, and completely indifferent to your wallet.
The result is a 5-column, 4-row cluster cascade game where winning means clusters of six or more adjacent symbols — including diagonals — dissolving and cascading new ones downward, with a multiplier growing with each successive cascade. It is the kind of game you can play for ten minutes and walk away feeling satisfied rather than unsettled.
